Commercial Hydrofoil Interview Series

Expanding upon our previous article about Smart Electric Hydrofoils - Commercial we are interviewing people from each of the companies covered.

Our first two interviews were with designers and suppliers of smart electric ferries that use foil-assistance to reduce displacement and improve their efficiency at fast speeds (around 25 knots, or 45 km/h).

EV Maritime

We chatted to EV Maritime’s Co-Founder and CEO Michael Eaglen, and he had a lot to say about how standardisation would help catalyse the transition to electrified ferries.

Green City Ferries

We also chatted with Green City Ferries’ Chairman and Founder, Hans Thornell, and he was very clear that Green City Ferries had a competitive advantage with using known technology and being focused on urban waterway commuting.
